I love photographing families. There are so many dynamics within a family, so it’s fun to create situations that allow you guys to interact and have a great time while creating intentional images.

First, once we schedule a session, I’ll send you some questions to better understand what your family is interested in (what you guys do for fun or together, if you have older kids, what they’re into, etc). From that, we’ll create a session around those elements, picking a location that fits your vibe.

Second, I love to be involved in the wardrobe process. Investing in the clothes you wear is such an important aspect of the vibe we create. Often times, it’s good to think of your home and personal aesthetic to inform the color scheme. If you’re more minimalist and neutral, fun and funky, modern, country, etc… having a palette that already matches your personal styles will both help create beautiful pieces of art for your home, but also provide another level of comfort to your session.

Lastly, we’ll make sure we have all out t’s crossed and i’s dotted. That means we have our props sorted ( maybe a blankets, some flowers or balloons, even some confetti!?), location picked out and paid for (if applicable), clothing set, details for the location that you may need to be aware of (wear boots, bring bug spray, etc), and we’ll be good to go!

Finally! After all the fun planning, we have arrive at our session! Whether it’s in your home, traipsing around a field, or at a retro gas station, I’ll guide you through the whole process. All I ask is that you come with positive attitudes and ready have fun with one another.
